Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using this website. By visiting any page, running a search, or reading content here, you agree to everything listed below. If you do not accept these conditions, leave the site and do not use it further.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not affiliated with a government body, private investigation firm, or consumer reporting agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. Its scope is general Towns County, Georgia record-access information.

1. What This Website Is

Towns County Criminal History is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official records, perform official checks, retrieve files, or submit documents.

Its role is to identify official Towns County and Georgia record custodians, including the sheriff, courts, Georgia Bureau of Investigation's GCIC repository, and Georgia Sex Offender Registry, and to provide links to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on these rules:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Site information and linked results may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate. Georgia law, including O.C.G.A. §42-1-12, governs Georgia Sex Offender Registry information, and misuse may carry criminal penalties. Registry access supports community safety, not vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for a regulated purpose must use an authorized Georgia Bureau of Investigation process or an FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is general information, not legal advice about a Towns County charge, conviction, warrant, or Georgia record-restriction question. Consult a licensed Georgia attorney for individual advice.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is." No promise is made that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, restrictions, and agency procedures can change after publication. Gaps are possible, and no page is an official government statement.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Official agency, court, legal-resource, and outside search links lead to independently controlled websites. Each destination controls its content, privacy practices, charges, terms, and availability.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Towns County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, adapting, or distributing them requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for damage arising from the website, its information, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold the operator harmless from claims caused by your use or breach of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Georgia law governs these terms. Any dispute concerning website use must be filed in a court located in Georgia.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms take effect when the replacement is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one term is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain effective. The affected term is narrowed only as much as necessary.
